The Intelligent Data Analytics Laboratory (IDAL) was established in 2024 at the 2nd Floor of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, National Institute of Technology Rourkela. The laboratory is dedicated to advancing research, innovation, and academic excellence in the areas of Data Analytics, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Time Series Forecasting, and Intelligent Computing.
IDAL serves as a multidisciplinary research and development center that aims to bridge the gap between theoretical foundations and real-world applications of intelligent data-driven technologies. The laboratory provides a collaborative environment for undergraduate, postgraduate, doctoral scholars, and faculty members to work on cutting-edge research problems involving big data analytics, predictive modeling, optimization techniques, pattern recognition, natural language processing, computer vision, and decision support systems.
The laboratory is equipped with modern computational resources and software tools to support advanced experimentation and high-quality research. It actively promotes innovation through sponsored research projects, industry collaborations, publications in reputed journals and conferences, and the development of intelligent solutions for societal and industrial challenges.
With a strong focus on research, training, and knowledge dissemination, the Intelligent Data Analytics Laboratory aspires to become a center of excellence in intelligent data-driven technologies and contribute significantly to the advancement of emerging areas in Computer Science and Engineering.
